Who am I?
I'm Dayanna Contreras, a dentist who graduated from Universidad Santo Tomás in Bucaramanga, with more than 9 years of professional experience.
I'm passionate about cosmetic, restorative and rehabilitative dentistry, because in it I found a way to bring together science, art and human sensitivity.
I believe in a kind of dentistry that goes beyond transforming smiles: dentistry that listens, understands and seeks to restore health, function and confidence to every person.
My commitment is to provide ethical, warm and individualized care, where every treatment has a purpose and every patient feels truly supported.

My story: a vocation born from caring
I believe there is a story behind every vocation. Mine began when I was 15, when I stood by my mother during her fight against cancer.
That experience, one of the hardest of my life, taught me the true meaning of caring for, supporting and serving others.
Although I originally dreamed of studying medicine, I found in dentistry a different way to live out my calling for health.
Shortly after losing my mother, I began my university studies. It was a path full of challenges, but also the beginning of a passion that keeps growing.
Over the years I discovered how extraordinary it was to be able to create with my hands, restore teeth that seemed lost, and see how a smile could give a person their confidence back.
Today I understand that this experience didn't teach me which profession to choose, but what kind of professional and human being I wanted to become.

Education and professional background
I'm a dentist from Universidad Santo Tomás in Bucaramanga, with 9 years of professional experience.
Throughout my career I have kept a constant commitment to training and professional development, deepening my knowledge of restorative dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, oral rehabilitation, adhesion and biomimetics.
My main areas of training include:
- Theoretical and practical diploma in Oral and Dental Rehabilitation and ImplantsFederación Odontológica Colombiana (Colombian Dental Federation)
- Adhesive and biomimetic dentistry
- Direct veneers and aesthetic composite resin restorations
- Occlusion, vertical dimension and functional rehabilitation
- Tooth preparation techniques and the BOPT philosophy

I believe constant learning is essential to offer different treatment options, grounded in scientific knowledge and adapted to each patient's needs.
My goal is not to know just one way to solve a problem, but to prepare myself to find the most suitable one for each case.

My philosophy and my space
Dayanna Contreras Dental Care was born from the wish to create a space where I could practice dentistry according to my principles: ethics, knowledge, naturalness and respect for every person.
I have always believed that professional training should not create distance between a dentist and their patient, but become a tool to understand them and help them better.
I want everyone who comes to my practice to feel comfortable talking about their fears, concerns, expectations and needs, without fear of being judged.
Because behind every smile there is a story, and listening to it is a fundamental part of how I diagnose and treat.
My approach seeks to preserve tooth structure, restore function and achieve natural-looking aesthetic results, respecting each person's individuality.
I don't believe in rushed treatments or in transforming for the sake of transforming. I believe in doing what is necessary, with judgment, dedication and responsibility.
